Olayemi Johnson, PMHNP

Olayemi Johnson is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the Medical Director of August Rose Health Center. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Husson University, building on more than a decade of experience as a psychiatric registered nurse before advancing into advanced practice.

Olayemi's career spans the full spectrum of psychiatric care — from inpatient hospital settings and charge nursing at facilities including Springfield Hospital Center and the University of Maryland medical system, to nursing leadership and clinical coordination roles. This depth gives her a comprehensive understanding of mental health treatment across every level of acuity and every stage of a patient's care.

She provides comprehensive psychiatric services to patients of all ages, with particular expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and medication management. Her approach is collaborative and holistic — she works closely with therapists, social workers, and the wider care team to build treatment plans tailored to each individual. Bilingual in English and Yoruba, Olayemi is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a safe and trusting environment where every patient feels supported.
