What Is Group Therapy?
Group therapy brings together a small number of people — typically 6 to 12 — under the guidance of a licensed therapist. Together, members share experiences, offer support, and practice new skills in a safe, confidential environment.
Research consistently shows that group therapy is just as effective as individual therapy for many conditions — and it offers something individual therapy cannot: the experience of being truly understood by others who share similar struggles.
Groups at August Rose meet weekly and are available in person in Glen Burnie and via secure telehealth for Maryland residents statewide.

Why Choose Group Therapy?
You're not alone - connect with others who understand.
Learn coping skills you can use right away.
Affordable care - insurance accepted, self-pay available.
Flexible access - in person in glen burnie or statewide via telehealth.
What our groups address?
Our therapist-led groups at August Rose Health Center are designed to meet people where they are. Each group focuses on a specific theme so members share common ground from the very first session.
