Community-based in Essex, MD

August Rose Health Center provides CARF-accredited Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) services to residents of Essex, Maryland and surrounding waterfront communities. Whether you are in Essex, Middle River, White Marsh, Rosedale, or anywhere along Baltimore County's eastern corridor, our certified PRP specialists deliver community-based rehabilitation services in your home and neighborhood.

Essex and surrounding communities are home to many hard working families and long-time Baltimore County residents who qualify for PRP services through Maryland Medicaid — and August Rose is here to serve them.

What is Psychiatric Rehabilitation (PRP)?

Psychiatric Rehabilitation, or PRP, is a community-based program designed to help individuals living with serious mental illness build the skills, supports, and independence they need to thrive in daily life.

Unlike traditional therapy, PRP services are delivered where you live, work, and spend time — in your home, your neighborhood, your school, or your community. Our certified PRP specialists work alongside clients on real-life goals in real-life settings.

August Rose Health Center has been providing CARF-accredited PRP services since 2018 — the founding program that started it all. We serve children, teens, and adults across Maryland.

Why community-based PRP is different
Most mental health services happen in an office.
PRP at August Rose happens in your world — because that is where recovery really takes place.

In your home

Skills practiced at home stick better than skills learned in a clinic. Your specialist works with you in your actual environment.

In your community

Grocery stores, transit, schools, workplaces — we support real-world goals in real-world settings.

Goals that matter to you

Your PRP plan is built around what matters most to you — not a generic checklist. Every goal is personal.
